Telstra TV is super easy to set up – just follow these steps.

Telstra provides a modem when you purchase a new plan or when existing customers need to move to the nbn network. The Telstra Smart Modem works on all our plans so if you already have one, you won't need a new modem when you change plan. 

If you are moving to the nbn network Telstra will check your existing Telstra modem to see if it’s nbn-compatible when you make the switch to the nbn network. If it is, we’ll provide you with the hardware you’ll need to connect to the nbn™ network. If it’s not nbn-compatible, Telstra will provide you with a new Telstra Smart Modem.

Important: An nbn service can never go faster than the maximum line speed available at your premises, so for FTTN/B/C customers we will confirm your maximum attainable speed after connection and let you know if your line is not able to achieve the maximum speed of your plan.

The nbn™ tier figures represent wholesale maximum network speeds during off-peak periods. The nbn™  tier figures and ‘typical busy period speeds’ are not measures of customers’ actual in-premises speeds, which may be slower. Not all customers receive these speeds. In some cases, the nbn™ tier figures and the typical busy period speeds are similar.

Plan prices: Your plan and add-ons may change (including price and inclusions).  If you don’t like a change, you can change your plan or cancel your plan or add-ons.  If you cancel, just pay out your device, accessories and services in full, and you will receive a pro-rata refund for your plan charge for the remainder of your month.

Speeds: An nbn service can never go faster than the maximum line speed available at your home, so for FTTN/B/C customers we will confirm your actual speeds after connection and let you know if your line is not able to achieve the maximum speed of your plan. Typical evening speed is a measure of network speed to customer premises; not  a customer’s received in-home experience. Speed Add-on: Superfast and Ultrafast are new nbn speed tiers. As a result, we do not have sufficient data yet to calculate the typical download speeds (7pm-11pm) that these tiers will provide. We will update this information once sufficient data is available. In the meantime, we estimate that these nbn speed tiers will support a typical download speed (7pm-11pm) of at least 215Mbps for the Superfast Add-on and 250Mbps for the Ultrafast Add-on.  For important information on speeds see nbn key facts sheet.

Telstra Smart Modem™ Gen 2: Mobile backup is available to premises in 4G coverage areas. Check coverage at telstra.com/coverage. Your mobile backup connection is capped at 25Mbps for downloads and 2Mbps for uploads. Actual speeds may be lower due to local conditions and content accessed.

Telstra TV: Existing Telstra post-paid service required. Requires a compatible TV with a HDMI port. A minimum internet speed of 3.5Mbps is recommended. Antenna required to access free-to-air channels in your area. Subscription and data charges apply, except when using Telstra TV Box Office. Search not available across all apps. To benefit from HEVC and 4K, content needs to be produced in this format. 4K TV is also required to experience 4K resolution.

Telstra TV app: Data charges apply for downloading and using the Telstra TV app.

Xbox All Access: Available to new and existing Telstra customers. Prices vary by console. Monthly subscription includes Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass for PC. The game catalog varies over time. If you cancel your monthly subscription within the first 24 mths, you will need to pay out the remainder of your Xbox One console as a once-off payment. If you are converting your existing Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass membership(s), they will automatically convert to Ultimate at a conversion ratio. Your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate token is included in the console box and must be redeemed to your Microsoft account to activate the service. After the first 24 months, you will roll over to a standalone Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription at the standard in market rate, currently $15.95 per month.

Forza Horizon 4 game and LEGO® Speed Champions add-on digital download token included. Game download requires significant storage. Gameplay requires a suitable TV. Online play and access to games in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription requires a stable internet connection. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.

If you cancel your Xbox All Access contract without having activated your token, you will lose any months of credit to Games Pass Ultimate you have available to you but have not yet redeemed, with no refund or credit available.
